Boogie Nights (1997)

Paul Thomas Anderson's critically acclaimed peep show into the adult entertainment industry.  Boogie Nights reserected Burt Reynolds career, showed Mark Wahlberg actually had a bit of range and had a soundtrack that made you want to get up and, well, boogie.  Set the late 70's/early '80s in the San Fernando Valley, Dirk Diggler rises to fame when he's recruited by renowned director Jack Horner and his colorful cohorts.   But with every rise comes a fall and he ends up getting in some sticky situations.  In the end, Dirk rejoins his porn family and the movie goes out with a bang.
